Candela Gentlemax Pro

Looking for a hair reduction treatment to get rid of unwanted hair? Are you tired of shaving your legs and underarms? Are you a man and want your back hair gone? Candela GentleMax Pro, using 1064nm and 755nm wavelengths, treats all skin tones making it the perfect solution to remove any color or texture of hair anywhere on the body!

Say goodbye to painful waxing, time-consuming electrolysis and the hassle of razors! Candela Gentlemax Pro is the hair reduction solution for men and women to finally get rid of unwanted hair quickly.
The laser creates a beam of high-intensity light that penetrates deep into skin tissue where it delivers a controlled amount of therapeutic heat. Candela’s patented Dynamic Cooling Device™ (DCD™) technology protects the upper layers of your skin with a cooling burst of cryogen.
You will wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from the laser light. Your technician will guide the laser over the area being treated by using a small handpiece. Prior to the laser pulse, a puff of cryogen is sprayed in the area to cool the skin. Your treatment could take a few minutes or up to an hour; This depends on how many areas are being treated.
Some clients may feel a slight discomfort with the laser pulse, sometimes described as the snapping of a rubber band on the skin. This discomfort is minimized by Candela’s DCD cooling. For some clients, a topical anesthetic may be used prior to treatment.
8 treatments are needed depending on the area treated every 4-6 weeks or every 6-8 weeks.
The day before your treatment, shave the area you are having treated, in order to get the best results for you. No tanning (either by direct sun or tanning bed), no tanning creams, no plucking or waxing. No deodorants, creams, lotions, or oils in the areas being treated.
Clients/Patients should avoid sun exposure approximately 2 weeks before and after treatments and should always apply sun block (SPF 45 and higher) when going outdoors.
Your risks are minimal. Side effects may include purpura (a laser bruise), redness, blistering, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, and swelling in the treated area – these usually do not last more than a few days. Permanent side effects, such as hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation or scarring, are very rare.

It is common to notice redness, swelling, bruising and soreness immediately after the procedure. However, this shouldn’t prevent you from returning to work after injections. We recommend scheduling injections around your work schedule if you are concerned about the social downtime.

Results commonly become noticeable within one week after treatment and improve with time. When treating skin concerns such as melasma and deep lines and wrinkles, it can take several treatments before noticing results.

Results from treatment are permanent. We recommend diligent lifestyle measures and a Med Spa skin care routine to maintain results.

Topical anesthetic cream is applied to reduce discomfort during the treatment.

The most common side effects include bleeding, bruising, swelling, and redness. These most commonly improve within 1-3 days after treatment.

Makeup may be worn 72 hours after treatment.

We recommend receiving clearance from your OBGYN prior to treatment if pregnant or breastfeeding.
