Botox/Dysport

Everyone's Best-Kept
Skin Secret

Line and wrinkle relaxers that make you look like you, but consistently in good light.

Why It’s Special

  • Botox and Dysport make expression lines smoother within days of injections.
  • Made with naturally-occurring proteins that work to soften stiff muscles.
  • Performed by a medical provider who also appreciates the “au naturel” look.

Frequency of Treatment

Every 3-4 months is recommended for best results.

Here's our plan:

Treatment requires minimal downtime. So you can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave our office.
In general, the effects of Botox and Dysport begin to appear in one to three days, peak in one to four weeks, and
gradually decline after three to four months.
Typically, you can expect results to last 3–4 months.
If you choose to not continue Botox or Dysport injections, without treatment, your muscles will continue to contract and potentially result in lines as before you started treatment.
Botox is a neuromuscular blocking agent, which means it causes paralysis of the injected muscle by preventing the release of acetylcholine from motor nerve terminals. The muscle strengthens again as the nerves regenerate.
The needle is extremely small so it feels like nothing more than a pin prick. Other than the injection itself, the procedure is painless.
Side effects are usually mild and transient and most commonly include swelling or bruising at the injection site, mild headache.
When injected in the correct amounts by the right medical provider, Botox and Dysport injections can result in a subtle appearance that only you will notice. But beware, everyone might comment on your improved appearance, they just might not be able to pinpoint the cause.
We say that as soon as you start seeing the wrinkles at rest — when you’re not animating — it’s time to consider Botox.
Botox and Dysport are both purified proteins that effectively block muscle contraction, although each has slight differences in their molecular makeup. Botox and Dysport accomplish the same goal, so it’s really just a matter of what you prefer.
Botox and Dysport injections should not be used in pregnancy or when breastfeeding.

It is common to notice redness, swelling, bruising and soreness immediately after the procedure. However, this shouldn’t prevent you from returning to work after injections. We recommend scheduling injections around your work schedule if you are concerned about the social downtime.

Results commonly become noticeable within one week after treatment and improve with time. When treating skin concerns such as melasma and deep lines and wrinkles, it can take several treatments before noticing results.

Results from treatment are permanent. We recommend diligent lifestyle measures and a Med Spa skin care routine to maintain results.

Topical anesthetic cream is applied to reduce discomfort during the treatment.

The most common side effects include bleeding, bruising, swelling, and redness. These most commonly improve within 1-3 days after treatment.

Makeup may be worn 72 hours after treatment.

We recommend receiving clearance from your OBGYN prior to treatment if pregnant or breastfeeding.
